Lori La Bey Talks with Mary Jo Belmont, who, at the age of 74, wrote and self-published her first book, Our Dementia Journey and Beyond. The book was curated from the journals she kept while caring for her husband, Jack. He passed in September of 2021, from Lewy body dementia, vascular dementia, and Alzheimer’s dementia. Mary Jo decided to write the book to educate people about dementia and help caregivers as they travel the dementia journey with their loved one.
