  1. Practice self-care regularly, such as getting enough sleep, exercising and eating well-balanced meals. Journaling is a great place to unpack your thoughts and feelings during this time as well. 
  2. Prioritize your mental health by taking breaks when needed and engaging in activities that bring you joy.  The healthy activities that you identify may be good coping skills to use consistently. 
  3. Seek support from loved ones or a mental health professional if you are struggling with your mental health. Mental Health treatment is also a form of self-care. It’s okay to start with a free mental health screening online. 
  4. Educate yourself and others on mental health to interrupt the stigma surrounding it.
  5. Advocate for mental health resources and support in your community.

Remember that self-care is more than going to the salon, barbershop, shopping although these are apart of it. Begin prioritizing self-care professionally, socially, spiritually, emotionally and physically as well as increasing your spatial awareness.
