This webinar for professionals covers what happens when people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have dementia. The training gives an overview of the risk factors for dementia in these populations, the relationship between Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s, how to respond to behavioral symptoms, and tips for maintaining safety.
It is designed for staff in health and social service fields working with people with dementia, and professionals who work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
