There are several ways Alzheimer’s is described, but not all of them help caregivers understand what to expect in real life.

In this video, I walk you through the 5-stage Alzheimer’s framework some clinicians use and explain how each stage tends to show up functionally and emotionally for caregivers. These stages aren’t milestones or predictions, they’re orientation points meant to explain why caregiving often feels harder sooner than expected.

You’ll learn:
What the 5 stages of Alzheimer’s are and how clinicians use them
Why Alzheimer’s is a continuous process, not a step-by-step decline
What caregivers often notice in each stage, beyond memory loss
Why judgment, flexibility, and emotional regulation often change early
What caregivers didn’t miss, and couldn’t have prevented

I’m Dr. Camille Sinclair, a neuropsychologist and dementia care specialist. My goal in this video is to help caregivers understand Alzheimer’s in a way that reduces panic, self-blame, and constant second-guessing, and replaces it with clarity.

If this helped you make sense of what’s happening, not just medically, but in daily life, I’ve created a Dementia Care Starter Kit to help caregivers understand dementia earlier and respond more effectively as things change.

The Starter Kit walks you through:
What changes first
Why behaviors escalate
How to adapt communication earlier
How to reduce daily friction

You don’t have to figure this out alone.
👇 You’ll find the Dementia Care Starter Kit linked below.
