Your Road Map to Care Get Ease and Access to Make Your Life Simpler

Join Lance A. Slatton and Lori  La Bey on Conscious Caregiving with L & L as they explore Dementia Map, whose mission is to connect families and professionals to trusted services, products, and tools around the world to support a better care model.

Lori gives a tour of Dementia Map Global Resource Directory, breaking down the ease of access to hidden opportunities to support those living with dementia and those caring for them. Dementia Map is free.

Dementia Map Member Profiles describe the services they provide, not just a check mark noting generic information like so many resource lists. Members also provide direct contact information, allowing users to go directly to their websites or email them from their profiles. They also list their social media links, so people can connect, follow, or get updates according to their personal preferences. Dementia Map members can also share an informational video and a gallery of photos, graphics, and flyers for quick visual engagement as well.

Dementia Map listened when you said you are tired of being set up and made vulnerable to scams, identity theft, and bothersome inquiries trying to get your business. They know that making a personal profile on a website increases the likelihood of their personal information getting hacked. So they do not require you to make a profile, remember another password, or expose you to unforeseeable future security or privacy issues. They stand by you, knowing there is not enough time to gather the information you need to care for a loved one with dementia, let alone add to the stress of dealing with your personal data being breached.

Find FREE Access to Resources, Events, Terms, and Informational Articles

Dementia Map’s Resource Directory has about 150 categories and is growing. You told them you wanted organizations that would respond to them when they made an inquiry. So Dementia Map doesn’t buy lists or add organizations that don’t even know they are listed. They provide proactive companies and individuals that are committed to responding and helping those who reach out to them for help.

Dementia Map has made it easy for you to search however you are comfortable exploring. You can search by category, keyword, location, on the map, or by the cards.

Check out Dementia Map’s Glossary of Terms. It’s so difficult learning all the terms and abbreviations used when a new diagnosis hits your family. The Glossary of Terms section gives you a short 2-3 sentence summary, and as articles are written by their members who are experts in various areas regarding specific terms, links to the articles are listed below for ease of access to dive a bit deeper on the term.

Dementia Map’s Calendar of Events is still in its infant stage, but is growing. It allows their paid members to highlight upcoming events as in-person, online, or Hybrid (being both). Here you will find all the information you need about event registration. Many of these are free.

The Dementia Map Blog offers a variety of great articles from our members who are experts in their niche. You can find these articles in three different ways. By the blog tab, on the side banner which lists the most recent articles, or in the glossary of terms associated with the article, providing more depth.
